Emails showing as sent in Sage CRM but not actually sent

Emails not actually sending via Sage CRM but showing as sent in Communications

The Virtual SMTP Server in IIS 6 was stopped. Upon further investigation from this article


The reason this was stopped most likely is because the Simple Mail Transport Protocol Service was set to Manual after a server reboot.
